a.       School Profile

One of the departments at the university is the Department of Education in the Faculty of Education. There is a school under the supervision of this department known as the laboratory school. The campus has permission to oversee the laboratory school based on Memorandum CHED No. 52, Series of 2007, Section 6, where these schools will provide a place for education students and pre-service teachers to conduct field studies, teaching practice, and observations. The Department of Education at Cavite State University oversees the Laboratory Science High School. There are no specific records of the school's size, but the campus area reaches 700 hectares..

The secondary school level at Laboratory Science High School was established in the early 1970s. CvSU built a two-story building with two to two classrooms at each grade level. The junior high school level includes grade 7, 9, and 10 (4 years) on the first floor, while the senior high school level for grade 11 and 12 (2 years) is on the second floor. Each class accommodates 37 to 40 students. The school facilities are very comprehensive, including a volleyball court, parade ground, library, and laboratories (currently undergoing renovation). For some classroom activities, such as practical work, students use the facilities in the Department of Arts and Sciences laboratories. Similarly, for activities like swimming and other sports, the school uses campus facilities, not just school facilities. The current student population is 327 female students and 292 male students Location

To maintain air circulation in the classroom, each classroom has a window that is opened as a source of light and ventilation. Each class also has air conditioning in the form of several fans. Two fans at the front of the classroom and two fans at the back. Not only that, there are also several standing fans as an addition.

c.       Teaching System

Laboratory Science High School conducts its learning activities based on the 7E model, which includes: Elicit, Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. There is also a reflection that teachers need to fill out. Here is an explanation of the 7E stages, including:

1.     Elicit: At this stage, the teacher reviews previous lessons or presents new lessons. Teachers usually add trigger questions to find out how far students understand the previous material

2. Engage: The teacher explains the lesson objectives (objectives) and presents examples/examples of the relationship between the material to be studied.

3.      Explore: Students discuss new concepts and practice new skills

4.      Explanation: Developing mastery (leads to Formative Assessment)

5.     Elaborate: find practical applications of concepts and skills in everyday life; generalize and abstract about the lesson

6.      Evaluate: grading students’ improvement

7.   Extend: This stage is given if additional needs are needed, in the form of remedial or enrichment if necessary
